With a professional commitment of more than 40 years of practice, Demetra began her professional life in the early 1970s after educating herself and studying astrology in-depth. She holds a MA in Classics and has been an early pioneer teacher—conducting conferences, organizing Project Hindsight intensives, and overseeing thousands through transformational astrological education.

Notable Works

Demetra is renowned for her trailblazing books on astrological literature. Her pioneering book Asteroid Goddesses (1986), written with Douglas Bloch, introduced a mythic view of the asteroids Ceres, Pallas, Juno, and Vesta, transforming astrologers' understanding of feminine archetypes in charts. She sealed her own record with Ancient Astrology in Theory and Practice, a two-book, highly researched treatise making Hellenistic astrology available for modern practice.
